Our guide will pick up you at your hotel, depart to My Son – One of the most stunning sights to see around Hoi An and Vietnam’s most important site of the ancient kingdom of Champa. After 50- minute drive from Hoi An, we reach My Son that is located in the heart of a beautiful valley and surrounded by high mountains ranges. Take a short walk inside, at the station, we will share about 10- minute ride by electric shuttle through lush jungle to the trekking point. Be highlighted with the special Cham Folk Dance shows (performed daily at 9.30am, 10.30am and 14.30pm) before exploring the temples.
Originally built with wood, they were completely destroyed by fire in the 6th century and restored in the 7th century by Sambhuvarman who rebuilt the temples with locally made bricks. Up to the 13th century, more than 70 similar temples were built, establishing My Son as a sanctuary of Hinduism in the Champa Kingdom. After about 1,5 – hour walk to see the Complex, named as a World Cultural Heritage Site by the Unesco in 1999, we will take a shuttle back to the center and end the trip.
